For the past few weeks, I have been using the bing.com search engine. Must admit it took me a while to switch over (well I haven’t completely, as I still use google) but the incentives just for searching is to hard to miss up.
Already I have earned a $5 gift card for IHOP, and now working my way up for an $5 Amazon gift card and possibly two $5 Toys R ‘Us gift card in time for Christmas . Rewards range from entering sweepstakes and or make donations to local schools and charities. There are Skype credit, Burger King gift cards, Starbucks gift cards to name a few.
So how does this work?
Bing rewards you for searching the internet. Using Bing search will earn you 1 credit for every two searches with a maximum of up to 15 credits earned per day. There is also an option to earn an extra 10 points a day by searching via a mobile phone device. Bing Rewards offers bonus rewards for different levels of completion (silver and gold status) and offers additional points for trying out new Bing features.
Apparently Microsoft launched Microsoft Rewards back in 2010 and I can’t help but think that this is a possible a ploy to snag google users but I’m not mad at them. As long as I get my rewards, I’m content.
I’m actually surprised that not a lot of people know about it – I happened to stumble upon it when I was looking for advertising opportunities. If you are looking to make some extra bucks (by way of gift cards) for Christmas, I am including the referral link to help you get started.
